This is one of those tours not usually available in other cities. Not many places allow you to stand up in the back of a Land Rover with your head out of the roof taking photos and videos whilst it drives off road and over really bumpy terrain. But the views are totally worth it. You will climb and descend gradients of 20-25 degrees and wonder how the driver manages to do it. Our driver was very funny and gave very good information. Would highly recommend this tour if you have good grip and good balance. There is room for 7 passengers with only the front seat passenger unable to stand up. Take warm clothing as driving in the mountains with the roof off can get a bit chilly.

Filipo was an excellent guide, you get more of a sense of the real Madeira and get to see some of the parts that are of the tourist map which is excellent!

Tour was great!!! The scenery was unbelievable. The guides Lucy and Fillipe were amazing. They had so much info to offer on the area, the sites, the vegetation, history. It was an excellent trip. They were professional, courteous and friendly. It was a great way to see the sites. Do this tour!!!
