About this activity

The experience begins at Top Diving Centre with a full safety briefing by a PADI Dive Professional. Get ready to learn the fundamentals of Scuba equipment, safety rules and guidelines, how to maneuver underwater, and how to communicate using hand signals.

Then one-one-one with an Instructor you will take your first breaths underwater. After being fitted with a complete set of Scuba Diving gear, you will go just steps outside of our Dive Centre to our shallow water practice area. Then with our experienced Instructor you will practice breathing underwater, and learn a few skills to prepare for your boat adventure.

We then board our boat right outside the Dive Centre in Puerto Rico Harbour, and take you for a trip to scuba dive with our Instructors at one of Gran Canaria´s best diving spots. Have fun swimming around and exploring the best of Gran Canaria´s marine life. After your scuba dive, we take the boat back to Top Diving in Puerto Rico to receive your diving certificate, and found out how you can use your training towards a PADI certification.

Parking is available directly outside Top Diving, in the harbour parking lot, for a small fee from Mondays through Fridays
Daily parking is available on the street 200 meters from Top Diving

The dive boat departs directly from Puerto Rico harbour
The minimum age for this program is 10 years old, although younger children may be able to join the boat for supervised snorkelling

The crew that took the diving were excellent. They were friendly and professional and they new what they were doing. They were also patient as I struggled with the diving as I could not get my ears to equalise so it took me longer than the other divers to reach the bottom yet they did not rush me so I got to have a really enjoyable experience.
