10 Days Hanoi to Hoian Motorbike Tour via Ho Chi Minh Trail

Day 1: Hanoi – sapa (overnight train)

Take the overnight train to Lao cai station then 1 hour bus transfer to Sapa for breakfast and have half day leisurely explore the beauty of the this former French hill station with ethnic villages in the vicinity.

Day 2 : Sapa – Than Uyen 110 Km

We take an exciting motorbike ride to Than Uyen town with a visit to Ban Khoang village then over O Quy Ho mountain pass 

Day 3: Than Uyen – Mu Cang Chai – Phu Yen 220 Km

8:00am we start our ride, today we will leave Than Uyen for Phu Yen and have one of best motorbike trip in north Vietnam with the mountain back-roads. Take a stop for lunch in Mu Cang Chai where you will have an opportunity to see one of the most amazing terraced rice fields and roadside ethnic markets. We will be in Phu Yen at 5 pm.

Day 4: Phu Yen – Mai Chau: 150 Km

The motorcycle ride to Phu Yen is quite easy, It offers a lot of stops for pictures of amazing mountain view.

Arrive Mai Chau at 4:30 pm then have a rest or wadering around the white Thai villages

Day 5: Mai Chau – Tan Ky: 280 km Hotelstay

Take a ride around Mai Chau valley before follow the Ma river to Cam Thuy and Tan Ky-the starting point of Ho Chi Minh Trail. and we’ll arrive this town at about 5:00pm

Day 6: Tan Ky – Phong Nha: 290 Km Hotelstay

Today we’ll leave for Phong Nha – Ke Bang with a stop to visit Ho Chi Minh Trail monument.

Day 7: Phong Nha – Khe Sanh 230 Km. Hotelstay

Motorcycle on the western Ho Chi Minh trail, where we can see many glorious mountain ranges and primitive forests besides we also visit the former US marine base with the system of tunnels, air base and some war museums on that area.

Day 8: Khe Sanh – Vinh Moc tunnel – Hue: 190 Km. Hotelstay

Today we will ride through the legendary road and have the chance to visit historical sights. Passing the Hien Luong bridge- the boundary between North and South of Vietnam in American war, museum of the 17th parallel and Vinh Moc tunnel.

Day 9: Motorbiking around Hue Hotelstay

We first drive to ThanhToan 300 year old bridge in the countryside of Hue. We have chance to visit a village market where people buy and sell their fresh produce and learn about farming technique that have been passing down for generations in a visit to a farmer family.

Day 10: Hue – Hoi An: 170 km Hotelstay

This is a scenic route mainly we will travelling close to the coast, past some lagoons and stop at interesting sights along the way:

We arrive the pretty ancient town of Hoian in the afternoon and tonight will be the farewell party for our adventurous motorcycle journey
