Overall a great trip. TOO bad weather was not the best but despite the fog, trekking through the Sapa mountains through Hmong and Red Dau tribes was awesome. The guide was great , Maaza did a terrific job of guiding us on the trails but even more importantly the great job she did in explaining her tribe’s culture, history, traditions, customs and life-styles. Awesome. Greatest feature - day care on the trails, guides and helpers were all women and they carried their babies on their backs with their work - child day care at it’s finest! Downside - Tour organizers from the office could do a better job of informing customers on times, schedules , pickup locations, etc, was somewhat disorganized and we were a bit lost in the “cloud” literally and figuratively. Sapa Vista Hotel staff and premises were excellent and the food was great and sufficient.
