About this activity
Day 1: Hanoi – Pu Luong 160km
8:00AM our team will come and pick you up to our garage station to take the motorbike we chose the day before and head to the Southwest of Hanoi to take in fresh air through the rice field and rural villages of northern Vietnam countryside. Reach Quan Son Lake and have lunch at a local restaurant then ride straight to Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Take our time for a walk around the ethnic villages.
Day 2: Pu Luong– Son La 200km
This is the day when you ride the short dirt road and leave Mai Chau, heading west of the Da River. The scenery has lots to offer yet once again with enchanting caves and numerous stripped stone pieces and stone axes ready to be discovered.
Take local the ferry to the other side, there lies a challenging mountain ride. You can reach the very tops of the high-peak mountain ranges that spread in front of you.
Lunch in Bac Yen and reach Son La at about 5:00pm
Day 3: Son La – Muong Lay 200km
After breakfast set out again for Son La, via the Road #6. It is a road in poor condition and off beaten track but is definitely worth every mile! The mesmerizing natural surroundings are hard to be overlooked. Along the way, we go passed dark caves, to get to Black Thai village, where we rest for a bit, with short breaks in between to have some lunch and take pictures.
We arrive at Muong Lay, and after you check in at your hotel, you are free to do as you please until dinnertime!
Day 4: Muong Lay – Sin Ho – Lai Chau 170km
We drive upstream Black river on a dirt road, go passed a magnificent green forest and introduce ourselves to the forgotten in time pockets of Thai, Tay, Man and H’among, meet its friendly people and win our way to the Lai Chau plain, with astonishing limestone-karst topography.
Not far from Sin Ho, you have the chance to help the local economy by purchasing handmade products that you will find in Mang village.
Overnight in Lai Chau.
Day 5: Lai Chau – Sapa 100km
With stunning landscapes we ride the 30km long pass of O Ouy Ho and Hoang Lien Son, we will come face to face with one-of-a-kind, heart-stopping, and most virgin lands on the face of the Earth!
Day 6: Sapa – Lao Cai
We follow the road for a while and then descent to meet the spectacular Muong Hoa valley with the fascinating scenery, and then ride along the river at its bottom. What you can expect is gorgeous views of rice terrace fields that will accompany you all the way to Lao Chai village. The Black Hmong is a lovely, friendly minority that will welcome you to their land, as you find your perfect spot to have lunch.
The last km of our trip take us from the village and all the way to the town of Lao Cai, where we take the night train back to Hanoi.
Day 7: Arrive in Hanoi around 6:00Am.
Enjoy the ride and see the amazing Vietnam!
