Ba Be National Park 3-Day Tour from Hanoi

Day 1: Hanoi – Thai Nguyen - Ba Be National Park [L/D]

At 8 am depart from Hanoi to Ba Be National Park. This 7-hour drive takes you through the flatland of the Red River delta and up into the mountain area north of Hanoi. On your way there, visit the Ethnology Museum in Thai Nguyen City. The museum is dedicated to the culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups and is located in the center of Thái Nguyên City. At 12 pm, make a stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Thai Ngyuen.

Upon arrival to Ba Be lake at 2 pm, check in to your hotel in Cho Ra. Then cycle around town to get familiar with place and the life of local people. At 5 pm, you will be back to your hotel for rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Ba Be Lake [B,L,D]

After breakfast at 7:30 am, take a boat ride on Nang river to visit Puong cave. Then, trek to Pac Ngoi village and explore the daily life of Tay. At 12:30 pm, you will have lunch in Pac Ngoi village, and after you can take the whole afternoon to wander around, explore and have conversations with local people. At 5 pm you will be back to Po Lu village for dinner and overnight stay in a stilt house.

Day 3: Ba Be – Hanoi [B,L]

After breakfast at 8 am, take 1.5-hour bicycle ride to visit the villages of ethnic minorities around Ba Be National Park. At 11 am, return back to say goodbye and take a ride back to Hanoi. On your way there, at 1 pm you will make a stop for lunch at a local restaurant and arrive to your hotel in Hanoi by 5 pm.
