Hanoi 5-Day Hill Tribe Villages Tour to Ha Giang, Dong Van, Meo Vac, and Lung Cu

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang (L, D)

After hotel pickup in the morning, depart Hanoi by car for the drive to Ha Giang. At midday, you'll stop en route at a local restaurant for lunch, and then continue the drive, arriving in the late afternoon to check in at the hotel in Ha Giang. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure before dinner.

Day 2: Ha Giang – Dong Van (B, L, D)

Enjoy breakfast, and then set off to Dong Van, stopping in the Quan Ba District to visit the Bo Y minority village, home to a combined population of 1,500 people of the Bo Y and Tu Di ethnic groups. Pass by the Sky Gate and visit Fairy Mountain (a hand-weaving village), and take a break in the town of Yen Minh. At midday, have lunch at a local restaurant, and then discover Lung Cu Flag Tower.

In the late afternoon, take the bus back to Dong Van to check in at your hotel and wander around town to see the village life of the local ethnic minorities. Your evening ends with dinner.

Day 3: Dong Van – Meo Vac – Cao Bang (B, L, D)

After breakfast, head off to Meo Vac town where you'll visit a Dao ethnic minority village. Then continue in the mid-morning to see the Nho Que River and Ma Pileng pass before arriving in Sa Phin village to visit the former Meo King palace (officially known as Vuong Chinh Sinh).

Have lunch at local restaurant, and then continue to Cao Bang, where you'll arrive in the early evening to check in at your hotel and have dinner.

Day 4: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc – Ba Be (B, L, D)

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Ban Gioc Falls in one of the most beautiful landscapes in northern Vietnam. Then head to Ban Gioc, and have lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, take the bus to Ba Be Lake before heading in the evening to check in at your homestay in Pac Ngoi. You'll enjoy dinner with a local family.

Day 5: Ba Be – Hanoi (B, L)

After breakfast, take a boat ride along the Nang River to visit Puong Cave. Then trek to Pac Ngoi village, where you'll have lunch before taking the bus back to Hanoi in the early afternoon. You'll arrive in Hanoi for drop-off at your hotel in the evening.
