About this activity

Join Maia for a casual, fun cooking lesson of some of her favorite dishes. Maia will teach you to prepare 2-3 Vietnamese dishes from scratch so be prepared to chop, stirfy and simmer your way to a home-made meal. She may also prepare a few dishes in advance to round out the menu. Your hands-on cooking lesson will last about 1.5-2 hours.

Maia prepares seasonal Vietnamese dishes like soups filled with verdant greens, la lot leaves stuffed with seasoned pork, bun cha nem (grilled pork and fried spring rolls on fresh vermicelli), stir-fried squid with vegetables, banana flower salad, sautéed vegetables, and crispy fried tofu in tomato sauce. Finish your meal with Maia's delicious egg coffee and seasonal fruit. The menu will vary based on the season.

Please note, this is not a professional cooking class, rather this experience is a visit into an authentic, casual, local home to meet a young local person and share the culture and cuisine together.
