Lung Khau Nhin Market Guided Day Tour

After hotel pickup in Sapa, enjoy the scenery along a rural drive until you arrive in Muong Khuong, a small town located near the Chinese border and about 31 miles (50 km) northeast of Lao Cai. From there, your guide turns onto a dirt road into the mountains for another 6 miles (11 km) to reach the tiny Lung Khau Nhin market.

Almost untouched by modern life, the small Thursday market provides a intimate glimpse of members of the Nung, Flower H’mong, Black Dao, Tu Di, and Giay ethnic minorities who gather to purchase local agricultural products, textiles, and other goods.

In the afternoon, take an easy 2-hour guided walk through a tranquil valley, visiting the villages of the Nung and Flower H’mong people en route. Your full-day tour concludes with the drive back to your Sapa hotel.

 Note: The trip is based on the day of arrival/ departure of the night train to/ from Hanoi. Departure time from Sapa should be no later than 7.30. The road to the market is often unreachable by big bus and we reserve the right to arrange the trip by Landcruiser/ Jeep/ small bus to assure the trip could be arranged.

-If your hotel is located in Sapa, the surcharge for one-way car (Lao Cai - Sapa) will be 31 USD.
-If your hotel is located in Topas Ecolodge, the surcharge for one-way car (Topas Ecolodge - Sapa) will be 24 USD.
