ONE DAY BIRD WATCHING AT NHAM VALLEY FROM HANOI

8.00: Depart from Hanoi to Ninh Binh, located in the marshy Red River delta, featuring a network of waterways coupled with spectacular limestone formations rising up from rice paddy fields. You first take 1,5 h boat trip along the local river to be immersed in the natural landscapes of this area.

Continue to Nham valley and visit Bich Dong pagoda to understand more about Vietnamese Buddhism and the architecture of pagodas built under the Le dynasty in Viet Nam. Your Vietnamese food lunch will be served by the host family at their home garden.

Then get on a small sampan to visit Thung Nham bird park, discover the most features of this area with more than 4000 birds of 40 species flying to inhabit every day. Your best chance to take nice photos.

You also explore Hang But (Buddhist Cave), about 500 m in length, magical view of the stalactites and stalagmites, including a big Buddha-shaped stalactite sitting beside an underground river, as well as visit orchard of tropical fruits in this area.
