This is a very educational tour. Beau was a knowledgeable guide! We highly recommend it and Blue Hawaiian.
I did this tour with my friends. Well worth doing. Corey our pilot was the best.
This tour started a little ordinarily as we were one of six groups flying at our time slot. We were asked to stand in line in the sun as they organised the load by weight, and it must has been twenty minutes as we were the last loaded. It wouldn't be too hard, I'm sure, to erect a temporary shelter and maybe some plastic chairs ? Anyway, leaving that aside, the pilot was nice and informative we saw the volcano and surrounding devastated areas and went back over waterfalls and the harbour. Having done the ground tour to Kilauea crater in the morning, where we couldn't see any lava, just a hole in the ground and smoke from about 400 metres , it was great to see the red lava as it moved down the hillside, just as I had imagined it. This and the turtles were why we came from Oz.
