Medium Group Tour: 2-day Mekong delta Tour visit Cai Rang floating market

Itinerary

Day 1: SAIGON - MY THO - BEN TRE - CAN THO (VISIT 4 ISLANDS)

Stop At: My Tho, My Tho, Tien Giang Province, Mekong Delta
Departure: 8:00 am, pick up at your hotel in District 1

A smooth one and half hour bus ride passing rice fields along National highway, leading visitors to the beautiful rural district of Trung Luong. On the way of the bus, the tour guide will explain main information of Mekong delta. The morning trip continues on a motor boat ride to enter My Tho city through Bao Dinh natural canal.

Here you can join in with the daily activities of the local people and enjoy the atmosphere of Mekong river. Visitors then take a cruise on the Tien River to the Qui (Tortoise island ). On the way, view the fishing port, stilt houses, boat building workshops, also Dragon, Phoenix and Unicorn islands. After that, going by the amazing rowing boat trip on the small canal is something visitors can not miss, take some photos for this unforgettable moment.

11.30AM: Lunch will be served at the local restaurant with Asian food. Walking to the village, and visit the fruit garden, listen traditional music while enjoy the tropical fruit. Then continue on to Ben Tre province - "the country of coconut", to see a typical agriculture model called "Garden - Pond - Cage", and enjoy the relaxing honey tea. Visit coconut candy workshop, knowing how to make coconut candy by hand in traditional way with explaining of the tour guide. Visitors will be fulfilled by the final boat trip back to My Tho on the Tan Thach natural canal, which is fully covered with water coconuts…..

Proceed to Can Tho. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight at your proposed hotel in Can Tho. (Family home stay can be arranged on request.)

Option 1 : Stay in a hotel in Can Tho

Check into your hotel on arrival at Can Tho. Free to explore the city on your own in the afternoon. You can also visit a village, meet the local people, have dinner with them and enjoy their music. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Can Tho.

Option 2 : Homestay ( D )

Transfer by motor boat to a small village in Cai Rang district. Check into your riverside cottage. In the afternoon, go cycling or trekking around the village to experience the rural lifestyle of the Mekong Delta people. Join a family as they prepare dinner, then share the meal with them. Enjoy an evening of traditional folk music with your neighbors. Overnight in your riverside cottage

Day 2: CAN THO - SAIGON (EXPERIENCE FLOATING MARKET)

Stop At: Cai Rang Floating Market, 46 Hai Ba Trung near Cai Rang Bridge, Can Tho 900000 Vietnam
7:00AM After breakfast, take the morning boat trip pick up at our homestay or hotel to visit the floating market which is the busiest and nicest time of day, it takes you around 1 hour to go the floating market. On the way, you will enjoy the brilliant sunrise on the boat, and around you that is the truly life of Mekong Delta people. In the floating market, people sell, buy and exchange their goods on their boat, therefore, you can buy a coffee cup, and enjoy it in the sunrise morning - taking picture for this unforgettable moment. After that, we keep cruising through the small channels system to visit a rice noodle making village. Experience the “Monkey Bridge” in the Delta. On the way we return to Ho Chi Minh city, we will stop at Mekong Rest Stop to have lunch, and then arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, drop you off at your hotel at 5.00PM
