After breakfast, you will start cycling in the Little Mekong. Just outside of Ho Chi Minh City, this relaxing area offers all the features of the famous Can Tho’s countryside. Indeed, for this 32 km tour in the countryside, you will get the opportunity to cycle through authentic villages and small markets. You will meet friendly locals, hear countless number of “Hello!” and encounter many local animals on the way such as cows, buffalos, bats and chickens. Moreover, you will discover more about Vietnamese tombs located within rice paddies as you bike along them. You will take a break in a local café after 18 km before continuing on single-track paths between river and farmland while being protected from the sun by the trees’ shade. The trail will lead you to many bridge-crossings offering an amazing glimpse of the local life on the river with fishermen as well as local farmer boats traveling on the waterway. You will pedal through an incense-making village, where the know-how has been passed throughout many generations, where you will stop for more refreshments after 28 km. You will cycle the last kilometers along the river heading to a Pagoda also serving as a monastery. Our ride will finish with the visit of the Pagoda before getting back in the van and coming back to the departure point in Ho Chi Minh City (with the traffic, it might take up to 90 minutes). You will be back around 1:30pm.
