The show is organized on the ground floor at the Vertical garden in Rex Sen Vang Theater in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. With the capacity of 100 seats, you will comfortably enjoy the show and get memorable experiences. With 60 minutes, the show is divided into 2 parts:
Firstly, enjoy the performances of traditional folk arts that have been recognized as intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO such as: “Classical theater” (hát bội),"Chau van singing" (hát chầu văn), “Lantern Dance”, “Hue royal court music” (Nha nhac Cung dinh Hue) and “Đàn đá Tây Nguyên”
Afterward, enjoy water puppet show – a unique, traditional art closely connected with the spiritual life of Vietnamese in many years. The puppets are in a pool of water and are controlled by puppeteers standing behind the screen. There is a traditional Vietnamese orchestra playing background music. This unique art form is a part of Vietnam’s cultural heritage and has won many international puppet awards. Experiencing this show is the best way to learn the history and traditional culture of the Vietnamese.

Bought the tickets online from TNK Travel via Viator for the water puppet show @Rex hotel because the tickets to the show @ Golden Dragon water puppet theatre was sold out. Reached Rex hotel and realised the tickets were 50% cheaper on every Tuesday if buy direct from the hotel. There were less than 10 audience including my family (5pax). The show was average. Not recommended.
