About this activity
Your day tour starts with morning pickup at your Hoi An or Danang hotel, followed by a 30-mile (50-km) drive by air-conditioned vehicle to the ancient temple complex of My Son, situated in a beautiful valley.
My Son was the religious and intellectual center of the Champa Kingdom, which flourished on the coast of Vietnam from the 4th to 13th centuries. The monuments of My Son are considered the most important buildings of the Champa Kingdom and were designated as a World Heritage site in 1999.
Walk through the temple complex with your guide and hear about its cultural significance, architectural styles and history. Of the 70-plus structures that once stood here, about 20 remain; several are well-preserved while others have crumbled, some of the damage sustained during the Vietnam War. Your guide points out statues of Hindu deities and explains the influence of Hinduism and India on the Champa Kingdom and temple design.
After your fascinating morning at My Son, return to Hoi An for lunch at a local restaurant before exploring the Ancient Town of Hoi An on foot with your guide. Also a UNESCO World Heritage site, the earliest settlement of Hoi An Ancient Town dates back more than 2,000 years. Its architecture, food and rich culture are evidences of Hindu, Arab and Chinese influences that came through this port town over the years.
Stroll along the pedestrian-only streets, where you guide shows you sights such as the Japanese Covered Bridge with its pagoda, wooden houses that once belonged to prosperous merchants, a local market, and shops that sell silk, handicrafts, clothing, antiques and more.
At the end of your leisurely walk, your tour ends with hotel drop-off.

It was quite disappointing seriously. I booked this trip 2 weeks before the trip. However, nobody contacted me until last minute, which it because i whatsapp them the night before tour. We didn't know about the meeting time initially at 8am as they changed last minute and that email fell into junk mail. So I wasted 1 hour waiting in the early morning. Then when the driver came, he did not explain ANYTHING but asked us to get on the car and kept driving. We had no clue where to go and who we will meet. Finally we arrived Hoi An and picked up the guide. He told us that he sneaked out from a group to receive us for the morning. Then he has to rush back to his group. The guide was professional and explained us much about My Son. The lunch was ok but lots of flies in the restaurant when we were dining. Driver was able to pick us up at 7pm for 350vnd more. Yet he offered 10k vnd more I heard it in English - TEN THOUSAND from restaurant in danang to hotel but asked us to pay 200vnd when we got off, which was even more than from airport to hotel . It was not pleasant overall. I would recommend travelers to choose other service provider or book on site as there are many more options to choose. The earlier you book, does not mean the better service you get.
Good value and a really interestingness trip. Very good Lucy arrangements.
Our guide Lee picked us up from the hotel and we traveled to My Son she was very knowledgeable and informative while explaining the ruins. We had lunch at Lantern Town who provided a substantial meal to much food for us.Lee then showed us around the ancient city and escorted us back to the hotel. Great tour and great guide totally recommend
Thanks Tan our tour guide from Hoi An for providing all the group with the most informative, passionate, personal and definitely funniest day I had on my trip to Vietnam. The Hoi An and My Son day tour itself was brilliant. Thank you Bravo Indochina Tours again. Go there and It's worth it.
