This tour was awful!!! The Houston downtown portion is okay, but nothing exciting. NASA Space Centre was terrible. The most exciting thing was the robotic yogurt machine. We were told to get in line for the 90 minute sham... oh I mean tram ride tour, little did we know it was a 2.5 hour plus wait, add this to the 90 min tram ride we would miss our return bus. But for another 30 each we could become members and cut the lines - wow another money grab. This membership allowed members to cut the line, fill 75 of the trams and then the trams would sit idle for 20 minutes, nobody moved. One tram sat so long people cheered when it finally left. This is poor as we came a long way Canada and saw virtually nothing. People on our bus came from Europe and Australia and saw nothing. We went on the 30 minute tram tour after wasting an hour in the 90 min tram line sat there for another 45 minutes. Now we are at 2:15 wait, saw nothing but the back of peoples heads and kids bored out of their minds. Next the 30 minute tram is boring, as all we saw were parking lots, buildings and finally rocket park. Rocket park was the only highlight of this tour money waste. This tour is a sham, save your money!!! WE HAVE TRAVELED ALOT AND THIS TOUR IS BY FAR THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT AND WASTE OF MONEY, YOUR WELCOME!!!
This was the most disappointing Viator tour I've been on. My wife and I paid 159 for a tour of Houston and the johnson space center. The Houston part went well, the space center was a horrible experience. The entire tour lasts 6 hours. Ninety minute tour of Houston, a ride to the space center, a 90 minute tram tour at the space center and the rest of the time to visit the many exhibits and films this historic place has to offer. We were dropped off at 12:15 and told to be back at 4:30. Upon the advice of Viator we went directly to the tram tour line. The tram tour is an integral part of the whole experience which includes mission control and a complete Saturn 5 rocket. We waited in line for 2 hours! Coupled with the 90 minute tram ride, left us 45 minutes to go through the rest of the center. We did not get to see any films. Ran by the many space capsules, the actual moon rocks and the new space shuttle exhibit. Don't have any idea what is in the other 3 or 4 sections of the center. We have been on several Viator tours both in the US and internationally. This is the worst experience with this company. No way is this worth 159.00.
This tour was very good. Tour guide for city tour was good. The open air bus was comfortable. The NASA JSC tour was good. Tram tour to training center and control room is a must. I also got to touch a moon rock. Finally got to see the preparation to go to Mars on Orion. Worthwhile trip
Great experience . Gives the visitor a chance to actually be where the action and excitement was during the early days of the NASA space program!
Fantastic tour, everyone from the guide on the sightseeing tour to the guides at NASA went out of there way to be as helpful as possible.would highly recommend
