Take a trip with us into the "Jewel of Taiwan", Hualien's awe inspiring Taroko Gorge National Park. And find out why our "Better" Taroko tour is actually the best. For starters, all our guides speak English. No prerecorded audio tour like on the large tour buses. Also, this tour starts early to stay ahead of tour bus crowds. While others are just arriving midday, we’ve already explored half the park! With open roads, this tour averages 3-4 more stops than other tours and is one of the only to visit the Baiyang Waterfall Trail and the famous Water Curtain Cave. More time on the trails, less time in the vehicle. No high pressure gift shops or tourist traps. We aim to immerse you completely in the beauty of Taroko National Park! There will be about 3-4 hours of walking throughout the day. All tours are in English.

Our fun-filled day begins with complimentary hotel pickup from your Hualien City Hotel, Hostel, Minsu or B&B. ! All our guides speak English and are happy to answer any and all questions throughout the day. No prerecorded audio tour like on the large tour buses.

After pick ups, we'll take a scenic 30 minute ride along the East Coast before arriving at Taroko Gorge National Park. Please note that this tour has an EARLY START (7:30-8am) to get you into the park ahead of the tour buses and crowds so you can enjoy the trails in peace, the way nature intended!

Throughout the day we'll enjoy 3-4 hours of nature walks through verdant forests, along blue rivers, over suspension bridges to incredible waterfalls and immersing you completely in the beauty of Taroko National Park. This is NOT a tour bus sightseeing tour, it is a small group tour intended to experience Taroko Gorge and all it's beauty live and up close.

We promise to show you as much of the best of Taroko in one day as we can. In order to have a fun and flexible day, the exact itinerary for our tour can vary. This tour departs from Hualien City.

We will adjust our tour based on time and trail closures, but please let us know if there is something specific you’d like to see.

Because our tour is one of the first to arrive in the park, the chances of seeing wildlife are greatly increased. Throughout the day, you may see grey rock monkeys (Formosan Macaque) or some of the more than 250 kinds of butterfly, countless lizard and spider species and 144 bird species in the park.

This Zen Monastery is in the most beautiful location imaginable. While there, walk across the suspension bridge over the bottle gourd valley.
