3 Days Konya and Cappadocia Tour

Itinerary

Day 1: Istanbul-Cappadocia by plane and day trip of Southern Cappadocia (Green) Tour

Stop At: Kaymakli Underground City, Derinkuyu Turkey
We will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and take you to the airport for a one hour flight from Istanbul to Cappadocia. Once you arrive, we will pick you up from the airport and take you to our office in Goreme Town. From there we will pick you up at 9:30 for your South Cappadocia Tour. First, we will stop at the underground city of Derinkuyu and climb down through the 8 levels that are available for viewing. From there, we will hike through the famous Ilhara Valley before lunch. After lunch, we will visit Selime Monastery and see how the Monks lived before heading to Pigeon Valley for some excellent views. We will take you back to your hotel at the end of the tour and you will have free time for the rest of the night.

Day 2: Day trip of Northern Cappadocia and 3 Hour bus trip to Konya

Stop At: Uchisar Castle, Uchisar Turkey
If you would like to do the hot air balloon ride, we will pick you up from your hotel around 5:30 in the morning. We will then take you to the balloon departure point. After you land, you will have a quick champagne toast before we take you back to your hotel. You will have time to have a quick breakfast before your tour begins. We will pick you up from your hotel at 9:30 for your North Cappadocia Tour. First, we will staop for a photo op at a vista point overlooking Uchisar Castle. Then, we will continue on to the Goreme Open Air Museum, followed by lunch in Avanos. After lunch, we will stop for a pottery demonstration. You will get a chance to try yourself! From there we will make short stops at Cavusin, Devrent where you will see some animal shaped rock formations, St. Monk's Valley with the mushroom shaped fairy chimneys and St. Simeon’s monk cell. We will take you to the bus station at the end of the tour and you will get on the bus to Konya. After 3 hours, we will arrive and you will be taken to your hotel.

Day 3: Day trip of Konya and Catalhoyuk /Flight from Konya to Istanbul

Stop At: Konya, Konya
We will pick you up at 9:00 AM and begin a full day tour of Konya and Catalhoyuk. During the tour you will see the Konya City Center Mevlana Museum and Mausoleum and the Selimiye Mosque. We will then stop for lunch in a traditional Turkish restaurant. From there, we will drive to Catalhoyuk. We will tour the excavation site of a Neolithic community. After the tour, we will take you to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Once you arrive, we will take you back to your hotel.
