The food tasting tour was excellent because our guide not only knew the best kept food secrets of Istanbul but, since she was herself a pastry chef and known to the chefs in the area, she knew how the food was prepared. That deepens our appreciating of both the dishes and the culture behind each meal.

I have done food tours all over Europe and this was probably one of my all time favorites! Aysegul, our local Turkish born guide, was amazing!! She knows her food, which was yummy, she knows the culture and is also well-known with many of the local places making us feel very at home. She took us to all varieties of places giving us a taste of what Turkish people eat in thier daily lives as well as told us some really cool facts/things we otherwise would have never known. Authentic, energetic, delicious food and perfectly timed!! Don't eat before this tour, I can eat- and I was stuffed by the end :) highly highly recommend!
