We start our adventure here, by the historic clock tower. Before we start walking you will learn about the history and importance of the clock tower

One of the largest open air markets in the world. As we walk through the market we will sample from local food shops and stalls.

The ruins of Agora mark the ancient center of the city. Dating back to 4th century B.C Agora of the ancient Smyrna (Izmir) was the commercial center. Surprisingly well preserved arches illustrate the scale of the ancient city. We will also make a well deserved tea stop here. On our way to Kizlaragasi we will visit a local restaurant for lunch. You will have a chance to taste excellent food and also observe how locals of Izmir break for lunch.

This 18th Century Bazaar was once the trading and commercial center of Ottoman Izmir. Today mostly souvenir and antique shops occupy most shops. Nearby we will make a stop at the most famous cold cut meat shop in Izmir. The bazaar is surrounded by several traditional coffee houses, and we will make a sand brewed coffee stop here as well
