Private Tour: Jaipur Sightseeing Including Jantar Mantar, Amber Fort and Jeep Ride
1 day
Private
About this activity
Your guide will pick you up from your Jaipur hotel in the morning and take you by private, air-conditioned vehicle to Amber Fort. Upon arrival at the bottom of the hill near Maota Lake, you’ll enjoy a jeep ride up to the fort.
Once at the top of the hill, follow your guide inside Amber Fort to visit Jai Mandir, a chamber of glittering mirrors; Shila Devi Temple; Diwan-e-Aam, an 18th-century monument known as the ‘Hall of Public Audience;’ and its counterpart, Diwan-e-Khas, a Mughal- and Rajasthan-style monument known as the ‘Hall of Private Audience.’ You’ll also get a great bird's-eye view of Jal Mahal, a palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake.
Head back down the hill with your guide aboard a jeep and re-board your private vehicle for a tour of Jaipur, the ‘Pink City.’
Visit Jantar Mantar, an impressive UNESCO World Heritage–listed architectural-astronomical observatory, and then take a tour of City Palace, a palatial complex including Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal palaces.
Then, stop for a photo opportunity at Hawa Mahal, known as ‘Palace of the Winds,’ before browsing curio items and souvenirs at Bapu Bazaar. Your guide will point out the market’s most popular item: mojari (handcrafted embellished footwear).
You’ll spend between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours at each attraction, depending on your preferences. In between sightseeing, your guide will take you to a local restaurant to enjoy an authentic Indian lunch.
After your tour, you’ll return to your Jaipur hotel in the evening.

The tour itself was amazing and enjoyed every minute, the guide although knowledgeable he rushed through it a little and we were not given time to do any shopping at the bazaar, we had to walk through and only look.
the tour was very informative and I would recommend it over just going on your own and doing the walking tour at each site. I can say however you could hire some one locally to provide you a tour and cab ride for less money, we hired a cab and guide for the whole day the next day,for only thirty US dollars. I also recommend you tell the tour operator up front if you don want to be taken to any of the sites where they will sell you stuff. They will push for it but if you are insistent they will not waste your time with those type side trips.
The sights were great and the guide gave us an excellent tour
