National Monument:

This 132-meter-high column towering over Merdeka Square is Jakarta’s principal landmark, topped with a glittering flame which symbolise the nation’s independence. The flame is coated with 50 kg of gold leaf. The basement of the monument houses an exhibit of 50 dramatic dioramas depicting the history of Indonesia from prehistoric times to the present.

(Closed on Monday & Public Holiday. We'll visit Cathedral Church and Istiqlal Mosque).

Batik Shop:

We will visit one of the Batik shops in Jakarta to find the Indonesian fine selection, as well as interesting permanent exhibition, of BATIK, a traditional cloth from Indonesia, in classic and modern designs.

Beautiful "Indonesia in Miniature" Park:

An extensive theme park set in over 180 hectares on the outskirts of Jakarta: known as Taman Mini Indonesia Indah in Bahasa, is Indonesia's answer to every visitor's prayer to see the magnificent archipelago in just one day. All the Indonesia islands are realistically reproduced in miniature in a central lake and around the lake are pavilions to represent the 33 provinces in Indonesia. Each pavilion is representative of each province from the traditional architectural style in miniature to a wonderful display of cultural items and exhibits.

Museum Indonesia:

Museum Indonesia is in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah area, a three-story edifice in traditional Balinese architecture. The museum houses a vast collection of Indonesian contemporary arts and crafts, traditional costumes from the various regions, puppets, musical instruments, masks, and daily life utensils.
