Day 1: Johannesburg – Kruger Park (D)

Today you will be picked up at a pre-determined meeting point in Johannesburg. Depending on where you are staying in the city your pick-up time will be between 6:00 - 8:00am. Travel for about 6 hours through the Highveld and Lowveld areas and admire the wide open African bush and scenic landscapes. We will make a stop for lunch (not included) before reaching Kruger National Park in the afternoon. Get settled in your accommodation and then grab your camera for your first game drive around sunset.

A shared sunset game drive will allow you the chance to see nocturnal animals with a Kruger Park ranger in a Kruger vehicle. This game drive is shared and there will be other guests on the drive.

Return to camp for a three course meal under the stars served with a glass of wine. If you prefer alternative snacks or drinks, you can purchase them at the camp store. Get a good night’s rest and recharge your batteries for an exciting day ahead!

Days 2 & 3: Full Days in the Park (2B/2D)

Safaris are all about early mornings, getting out there and seeing animals! On these days, after an early wake-up call (the time varies according to the seasons and park gate opening times), we have tea or coffee & muffins. Your morning safari will last about 3-4 hours with a knowledgeable guide who will explain interesting facts about the park and animal behaviour.

Return to camp for a midmorning breakfast/brunch and then relax for a while. Take advantage of your free time to take a nap, go swimming, visit the park shop, or take a walk around the camp. In the afternoon you will take another game drive to spot more wild animals and big game. Return to the camp this evening for a rewarding and delicious dinner and stories around the campfire under the starry night sky.

All safari game drives are conducted in a 4x4 open-sided vehicle for the best wildlife viewing and photographic opportunities. The vehicles have a roof to protect passengers from sun and light rain.

Day 4: Kruger Park – Johannesburg (B)

Today we will say goodbye to the fabulous Kruger Park on our last morning game drive and our last chance to spot the elusive animals we didn’t see during our trip. Have breakfast back at camp and then make the 6-hour drive back to Johannesburg today passing through the Lowveld and Highveld with beautiful scenery. We recommend guests to plan on sleeping overnight in Johannesburg tonight. You will be dropped off at a pre-determined meeting point.

Note: On the last day, we plan on being back in Johannesburg between 5pm and 6pm, however, because we have multiple drop-off points we cannot guarantee any specific return time. If you are flying out of Johannesburg on the same day, please don't book any flight departing before 8pm.

Please note: no hut/lodge accommodation is available at Kruger during the Skukuza Half Marathon, a yearly event that always takes place the first weekend of August. Camping accommodation is still available.
We offer an optional excursion to visit select attractions along the Panorama Route at no extra charge and replaces your game drives for the day. You will enjoy breakfast in camp at 07h30, depart from camp at 08h15 and visit attractions such as the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, Lisbon Waterfalls and God’s Window. We stop in one of the small towns en-route for lunch (at your own expense). We will be back in camp between 17h00 and 18h00. This excursion, which will incur an extra charge, replaces your game drives for the day and will be co-ordinated by our staff while you are on safari with us. (Kindly note that this excursion is not available on the first or last day of your Safari due to time constrictions)
Note: This optional excursion needs to be pre-booked. If you would like to opt into the Panorama Route activity, please let us know ahead of time.
This itinerary is subject to change at anytime without prior notice depending on availability at the camps and parks.
Children under the age of 6 are not allowed on the Day 1 Sunset drive. They are allowed on the morning and afternoon Outlook Safaris, however if they become loud or disruptive, they will be escorted back to camp with their parents and the guide.
Please note that airport pick-up is included for flights arriving before 5:30am on Day 1 and airport drop-off is available for flights leaving after 11pm on the last day.
