Watch the magnificent African sunset and, after dark, use a spotlight to view nocturnal animals. Dinner in the Marula Tree Boma will be a BUSH BRAAI. After dinner, continue with your Night Drive and overnight in en suite air conditioned chalets.
Duration: 3 hours
Meals included:
• Dinner: Dinner will be an unforgettable BUSH BRAAI deep in the African bush at Marula Tree Boma.

At sunrise we drive to the Olifants River for a 4h Bush Walk. Your rangers will show you many secrets of the bush. Adrenalin surges will be acute even if your rangers are adequately armed. Return to Tremisana for brunch. Later you may sleep in your airconditioned chalet, swim or read wildlife magazines in our Lapa. Lunch will be served at 13h30. Drive to Kruger Park in your custom-built open-sided Gameviewer. You will view game without intervening glass windows and also listen to and smell the denizens of the bush. The Orpen- Satara-Nwanedzi region has open plains that attract large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope that, in turn, attract many predators. In fact, this zone has the highest concentration of lions in Africa.
Duration: 7 hours
Meals included:
• Breakfast
• Dinner
Accommodation included: Overnight in an airconditioned, en-suite chalet at Tremisana Game Lodge
Day 4: Moholoholo and Game Drive
Stop At: Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, R531, Hoedspruit South Africa
After breakfast, we drive to Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre for orphaned and injured animals. The animals at the centre are in enclosed pens and have been rehabilitated but are not yet able to be released into the wild as they are incapable of fending for themselves.
They serve a good purpose insofar as tourists can see that the project has successfully rehabilitated an animal that was destined to otherwise die - these animals arrive at Moholoholo as the result of being orphaned, poisoned, caught in poachers’ snares etc.
By visiting the centre we are supporting the important conservation work they do.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Tshukudu Game Lodge, R40, Hoedspruit 1380 South Africa
At around 15h00 we drive to Tshukudu Game Reserve. The chances of seeing the Big Five in this enclosed reserve are very good. Return to Tremisana for dinner and overnight.

Overall, it was a budget safari at best. Not great accommodation, but something we could live with. 1. Lack of advance information about what to bring/do, such as don't come in pink jacket for the morning bush walk. 2. The condition of their vehicles was very poor. The vehicles had tarp top, but the tops were ripped or had holes. On one of our drives it started drizzling. Water through the tarp holes was coming down on us. Everyone was drenched and it was cold in September. It was a miserable drive. 3. On our last day, when we along with several other guests were to be driven from the lodge to Johannesburg Airport, it was drizzling and cold. Instead of using the van that was sitting there, they took us in the open Safari Vehicle for an hour to meet with their van coming from a different lodge. The sides tarps of our Safari vehicle were torn and its closing system was broken. Our clothes and luggage got wet. Not a good way to start a 9-hour van ride and then another 36 hours of air travel. Very bad maintenance and cheap operation. 4. You have to order anything to drink – even bottled water, coke, or anything to drink. Not only this, they keep pushing to make you buy those like you would expect in a cheap bar. Not only this, a few times some of them had the audacity to ask “why don’t you want a drink?” Well, read Number 5 above, or none of your business, why I don’t want. 5. You are in South Africa – great selection of excellent wines. However, you can’t bring your wine. You have to have whatever they sell you at the lodge. 6. At check in they give a two-page flyer with additional information. Only then, you see that they recommend to tip R80(about US$5) to the drivers for each drive. Bring your cash. There is no ATM at the lodge. 7. Rooms/furniture/carpet definitely need some maintenance/painting/cleaning. Shower had good hot water, but the sink in the bathroom has separate hot and cold faucets, so you have to shuffle your hands. 8. Our second trip per published itinerary to the Kruger National Park was supposed to be in a different area entering through a different gate (Malalan Gate, Nelspruit). However, our second trip was used exactly the same route as the first one through Orpen Gate. 9. Moholoholo Rehab Center and Tshukundu Game Reserve trips (rubbing a cheetah's head) were memorable. Solly excellent Joburg van driver. Thanks to Rihanna for loaning US adapter.
