This trip was amazing and educational. The tour guide Sugar was great he gave out fun facts about the city
I booked the tour the last minute (like 4 hours before midnight of the departure date), but the MoAfrika Tours still made their best to arrange the hotel pickup. The tour was perfect and very knowledgeable. Everything went well as planned but slightly fast paced- I wished there was more time. The driver as well as the tour guide was always enthusiastic and answered all the questions the guests had. I had a very good time and I think it is worthy to buy this product.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour as I was so looking forward to learning more about apartheid and the creation of 'Townships'. Prompt pick-up , good pace, Nice air-conditioned vehicle, nice small group .Lunch was good-local Braai, nothing fancy but good to try local dishes and get a nice cold drink. Hector Pieterson and Apartheid Museum were very informative....I very satisfied with tour , very humbled to hear local people talk about their life in a township.
We had a great tour with BoBo. He was very knowledgeable and the food was great! I would recommend the tour for anyone wishing to visit Soweto.
I'd highly recommend this tour with MoAfrica. Every aspect of the experience was well designed and executed. Scheduling with Viator was easy, pick up and drop off at my hotel was efficient, the tour guide, Bobo, was outstanding and sufficient time was allowed for each of the stops. Our group filled the mini van and from the questions asked, it seemed that folks could hear the narration even in the back of the van. The website accurately describes all of the sights which provide a good overview of major historical events. The BBQ lunch was delicious and fun. Two hours at the Apartheid museum after lunch was enough time to walk through quickly, but not sufficient time to really explore all the exhibits in depth. If you have limited time, this is the way to go!
The tour was very well organized and the tour guides were exceptionally well informed. A little extra time could have been spent at lunch and therefore shortened the time spent at the Apartheid museum. All in all a an excellent tour.
I absolutely loved this tour. Was picked up, on time at my AirBnB in Sandton. It was so informative and our tour guides were amazing. The most humbling part of this tour was walking through the favela in Soweto. Felt safe the entire time. The people are nice too. Plenty of opportunities to buy things. The food at the end of the tour was great. Definitely recommend this.
