Take the opportunity to get a fascinating glimpse of the bustling neighborhood life of Soweto. Rich in history and culture, the name derives from the syllabic abbreviation of the English name, South Western Townships. It was formally segregated and underdeveloped due to racial segregation, now it has been made a municipality of the City of Johannesburg and is a thriving tourism location.

Take a stroll to the housing of Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, not only extremely important figures from a historical point of view but also Nobel Prize winners.

You will also visit the Hector Pieterson Memorial, Regina Mundi, the largest Roman Catholic church in South Africa, Freedom Square, where the Congress of the people was held giving a voice to the visions against the repressive policies of the apartheid.

You will also be given the chance to go by the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and other community development projects.
