Lieliesleaf Farm was the secret HQ of MK, the military wing of the ANC. From here the low key guerrilla war was started with Nelson Mandela as commander-in-chief. This sets the scene for the Path to Liberation story that is to follow. From here we go into Soweto to Freedom Square where the Freedom charter was drawn up in 1955.

Stop At: Walter Sisulu Square, Klipspruit Valley Road Corner Union Road, Soweto, Johannesburg South Africa
We continue the story and get an understanding of how our Constitution was formed through a Congress of the People in 1955 where 3000 delegates from all the liberation movements gathered at the square.

Stop At: Vilakazi Street, Soweto, Johannesburg 1804 South Africa
Here we take a walk along the most famous street in the world. The only street that had two Nobel Peace Prize winners living in the same street. This is also where we will have a buffet lunch at a local restaurant. Get a taste of some local foods and flavours. We then take a drive past the Hector Pieterson Museum and learn about the childern's uprising on 16 June 1976 and how this changed the course of history in SA. From here we go into downtown Johannesburg to where it all started in 1886.

Stop At: Carlton Centre, 150 Commissioner Street, Johannesburg 2094 South Africa
In the centre of the inner city is the Carlton Centre built in the 1970's and still the tallest office block on the African continent. We take the high speed lift to the Top of Africa for a birds-eye view of the inner city. We then take a drive through the city to Constitution Hill, the seat of the Constitutional Court, which is the highest court in the land.

Stop At: 11 Kotze Street Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct, Johannesburg 2001 South Africa
Here we will have a walk through the court room and the original site of the Old Fort, a notorious prison in days gone by. This will end the story of the Path to Liberation.
