Amazing day at Pearl Harbor. The history, the memorial, the ships on exhibit made the day well worth the tour.

THE ONLY THING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER WAS WHEN WE GOT TO PEARL HARBOR WE WERE GREETED AND GIVEN OUT TICKETS... BUT WE HAD NO GUIDANCE AS IN A LIST OF AS TO WHERE TO GO NEXT. THE GENTLEMAN DID TELL US BUT WE NONE HAD A PEN TO TAKE NOTES ....BUT LOVED LOVED IT ANYWAY.
Pearl Harbor itself was good, but the tour arrangements had a few problems. First, there was no hotel pickup in Maui despite information from Viator that this was included. Second, there was no prior information about what to expect on the day of the tour. I ended up showing up at the airport, getting my boarding pass, and arriving in Oahu with still no information on what to expect. Another phone call to the tour provided in Oahu let me know to wait for a shuttle bus due in 30-45 minutes. Once at Pearl Harbor, admission tickets were handed out and we were on our own. I still don't know if I was supposed to have a lunch or not. It was out of the tour company's control, but the shuttle buses between the monuments were on a greatly reduced schedule which meant long lines and short tempers when going between sites. Glad I had the opportunity to see Pearl Harbor, but not sure I would do it this way again.
The tour itself was great from the communication giving us flight info and the entrance tickets to the Pearl Harbor Complex. The area of concern was the transportation to and from the airport to Pearl Harbor and return. We arrived at approx. 845 AM and we weren't picked up until approx. 0920 AM. At the end of the day, we and another couple waited at the pickup point for the 500PM pick up time for our transfer back to the airport for our 700PM flight back to Maui. We waited until 525PM and no one showed up. We ended up hiring a taxi, which took us to the airport. Basically we were dissatisfied with the airport transfers which ended up being late in the morning and a no show for the evening.
