Active Lava Flow Hiking Adventure from Hilo - Kona - Waikoloa

After pickup from Kona, Waikoloa, and Hilo and transfer to the start of the hike in a comfortable van, every guest is outfitted with a small backpack, water, and snacks. After a short safety briefing and orientation by your professional guide, you will start the hike to the active area. Once your guide located an active flow, you will have ample time to explore and take pictures, before your guide will lead the group back to the van. 

The hike can be 10 miles or longer round trip. You should be able to walk at least 2 mph for about 5 hours.

The active zones are in remote and exposed areas. Please prepare for cool to very hot and extremely windy conditions.

This adventure is depending on the lava activity. Activity can change at anytime. No guarantee to see active flows.

Please bring a hat, sun protection, and comfortable hiking shoes.
