Big Island Super Saver: Helicopter Tour plus Zipline Adventure
Variable
About this activity
9-Hour Tour from Kona:
Your tour starts at Waikoloa Blue Hawaiian Heliport, where you’ll check in and board a comfortable, air-conditioned helicopter for the 2-hour flight across the Big Island of Hawaii. Feel your adrenaline pumping as you fly through columns of steam rising up from the volcanoes below, and then head north past Hilo into waterfall country, where you’ll soar over Rainbow Falls and Akaka Falls. On the way back to the heliport, travel past more waterfalls and over an active volcano covered in dried black lava.
After landing, enjoy a scenic drive to the zipline course, where the all-dual, 8-line zip course covers 2 miles (3.2 km) of tropical river gorges and features five suspension elements. Strap in and let your professional instructors guide you along one of the Big Island’s longest ziplines — more than 2,300 feet (700 meters) in length! As you fly through the air 160 feet (49 meters) off the ground, admire views of surrounding waterfalls and look for local wildlife.
When you’re back on the ground, enjoy a picnic-style lunch before being driven back to Kona (snacks and beverages are also provided throughout the day).
6-Hour Tour from Hilo:
The helicopter and zipline tour from Hilo features the same itinerary, but the helicopter flight is shorter and bypasses waterfall country for more time on the ziplines.
