Our tour guide Penelope was amazing. She took us to local restaurants that made us feel like a local. She even sent us the recipes for the foods we sampled. We highly recommend this excursions but come hungry!
Great experience- real local establishments and insights. Only wish we were able to schedule on the first day of our trip providing more time to revisit the providers. Highly recommend our tour guide Elena!
We really enjoyed our time exploring the culinary delights of Athens with Elena. She was very knowledgeable, cheerful, helpful, and an overall joy to be with. The variety of food was amazing, and the portioning was just perfect! Definitely recommended!
Elena was an amazing tour guide!!! It was better than we could have imagined. She gave little Greek history lessons along the way and all the food was so amazing. I cannot day enough how great this tour was. Elena is the best!
Excellent tour and lots of variety!
We had a wonderful time with our guide Anna! She began the tour with an overview of Greek culinary history...important to understand the influences of other countries and empires...added to much to our experience. From there we sampled very delicious savories and sweets available only at special shops and restaurants both on and off the beaten path. The pace was perfect...ample time to relax and enjoy all the tidbits of history Anna provided...her knowledge was encyclopedic...in a good way! After the overview of important sights in Athens, you'll definitely want to take this tour to learn more about the culture. Cooks and non-cooks alike will enjoy the many tastes and love the Greek coffee!
