This was our first time to book a tour through Viator. I was a little uncomfortable at first doing something unknown to us and also we were spending our night at a private residence and not a hotel. Once we booked the trip, I got an extensive email from our tour guide, Nikos, explaining everything in great detail. He asked if he could call us, and he did so. He spoke perfect English and even though Viator tours usually begin at certain hotels, he arranged to pick us up very close to the residence where we were staying. He followed up with emails and gave us his cell phone. He made me feel very comfortable and like we would be in good hands. Nikos met us as planned and our tour began. He showed us points of interest along the way, and explained a lot that we never would have known. He also stopped and gave us some Greek treats during our tour. The trip went as planned and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Nikos was a good driver and communicated well with us. Upon our return, since we had some extra time, Nikos took us to some places in Athens and we got to see the changing of the guard!
