About this activity
Itinerary
After our meeting, we will walk through the Panathenaic Way, passing by the ruins of various shops and we will stop at the cobbler Simon’s workshop, the place where many of Socrates’ discussions seem to have taken place. A short introduction about the public activities that took place in the Agora will follow.
Then we shall find Socrates and learn about his personal and public life, before we get in touch and practice his philosophical method, known as method of Elenchus or Socratic debate or as Maieutics. HELLAS REVIVAL professional expert, as another Socrates, will help you explore significant concepts, getting to the deeper truth of things and distinguish what you actually know from what you actually don’t know, in the same way Socrates and his followers did, contributing to your self- awareness and self-development through specific and simple examples of the modern life.
Our workshop ends with a deeper look at Socrates trial, where you will be asked to take the stand for expressing your arguments and cast your own vote. Our workshop will last approximately 2.5 hours, including a short brake and time for photos. All participants will receive a commemorative gift.
