Itinerary

1. Insiders’ Herbs Trail

Initially, we will visit one of the most prominent and pioneering Athens Herbs & Spices shops. We will attend a comprehensive overview of the history and huge variety of greek herbs, spices and bio products, like chamomile, dittany, melissa herb, spearmint, thyme, sage, rosemary etc. Guests will learn traditional ways of preparing herbal drinks, as well as the immense variety of herbs’ medical applications. They will also receive a complimentary free gift bag, with some of the most authentic greek herbs.

2. Introduction to Greek Wines

We will visit a leading Athens Wine merchant who is a real authority on greek wines, attend a thorough presentation on greek vineyards, and learn about the famous local greek wine varieties, which 100% reflect greek traditions. We will then have a chance to discover numerous local greek wine varieties like Neilis, Santorini, Robola, Naousa, etc, from different greek regions, and learn the secrets of their aromas and tastes, as well as the corresponding consumption proposals. At the end, guests will receive a complimentary free bottle of a fine greek wine

3. Visiting a famous Athens Tea-room

We will visit one of the finest Athens Tea-rooms, with a unique interior design and décor. We will enjoy a herbal drink of choice, among a huge variety of greek (and world) teas, coffees and sweet delicacies, thereby greatly rewarding our taste-buds

4. Discovering greek Food and Delis

We will visit a major greek Food and Deli store, with excellent products from all over Greece, at a huge variety. Further on, we will visit the Central Athens Meat & Fish Market, called Varvakios Agora, and will stroll among the merchants in order to appreciate the vibrant hustle and bustle of the place. We will then visit an off the beaten track Tavern and learn about their excellent quality meats & cheeses, and their delicious dishes

5. Chatting, relaxing, and holiday planning

We will have ample time at the tea-room to relax, exchange ideas, and discuss suggested proposals and tips on the best Athens attractions and sights to visit: where to go, what to see, what not to miss, how to best exploit the authentic Athens atmosphere
