Explore the scenic neighborhood of Plaka, one of the oldest and most unforgettable Athenian neighborhoods on foot, along with your expert guide that will share their knowledge in regard to the history, customs and everyday life of Athenians. Strolling the northern side of the Acropolis Hill, you will come upon Plaka's most significant monuments, such as the Tower of the Winds, the majestic Gate of Athena at the Roman Forum, and the monument of Lysicrates. Learn about the rich heritage behind each monument through fascinating tales narrated by your guide and continue your walk by following the maze-like streets to discover the hidden neighborhood of Anafiotika, a tiny island-esque district located on the slopes of Acropolis!

Now it is time to take back all those calories you burned while walking with a Greek tasting workshop! Discover the origins of Greek spirits and traditional products and the techniques and unique methods behind their production.

Hosted in a modern deli shop, the tasting will cover every important region of Greece. Starting from the north, delve into the culinary gems of Macedonia and Thrace, such as the fiery tsipouro from Veria, the kasseri cheese from Xanthi and the round green olives from Chalkidiki. Have a taste of Epirus by trying the smoked Metsovone cheese and then discover the fruits of the Peloponnese, the homeland of numerous Greek products. Taste cured sardines from Messinia, feta cheese from Tripoli, 'sygklino' smoked ham from Mani and the world-famous Kalamata olives. Accompany the delicious delicacies with two local wine varieties and enjoy their aromatic, rich body while chatting away!

Next up, you will travel through the power of taste across the Greek islands and, specifically, Cyclades.
