About this activity
Itinerary
You can experience one-and-a-half to two hours of pottery making. In spring (April, May, and June), in flowering season in Japan, you will create a flower shaped bowl called Rinka-bachi. It is a very photogenic form that is great for serving colorful dishes and even for arranging flowers. We will fire the pottery and send you your work afterward.
From July, we will feature kids friendly, summer fun activity - Washi Paper Dyed Ceramic Art.
You will decorate a ceramic plate with a Japanese washi paper, one of the special ceramic decorating techniques in Japan.
After the pottery making, we will invite you to enjoy the atmosphere and reflect on yourself with handmade Japanese wagashi sweets and freshly whisked matcha tea prepared by a local wagashi artist.
Stop At:
• Takara no Niwa, 1418 Yamanouchi, Kamakura 247-0062 Kanagawa Prefecture
