About this activity
Day 1: Your arrival in Kathmandu and transfer from the airport to your hotel
On your arrival in Kathmandu, a representative of Outdoor Himalayan Treks will greet you at the airport and transfer you to Hotel Friends Home or Hotel Mums Home or a similar grade hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Kathmandu - Pokhara (900 m)
Take a tourist bus to Pokhara (826m), which normally takes about 6 hours. Spend the night in a deluxe hotel in Lakeside area.
Day 3: Pokhara - Nayapul (trek begins) - Tikhedhunga (1577 m)
Drive to Nayapul (1050 m) by car. After lunch and a short recess, trek to Tikhedhunga (1577 m) and spend the night in a local teahouse.
Day 4: Tikhedhunga - Ghorepani (2875 m)
Trek to Ghorepani (2875 m), which takes about 5-6 hours, and stay overnight at a local teahouse. On your way lies Ulleri village where friendly Pun people live a very simple life. Enjoyable views of mountains will help you ease your walk.
Day 5: Ghorepani - Poonhill (3210 m) - Tadapani (2600 m)
Wake up very early in the morning and hike up to Poonhill (3210 m), which takes roughly 1 hour. If the weather is fine, you can enjoy an outstanding view of sunrise over the Annapurna Himalayan range. Some fifteen different mountain peaks (including Dhaulagiri) are also visible from there – no wonder the place is regarded as one of the best viewpoints. After enjoying the sunrise, you will descend back to Ghorepani (1 hour approx.) and have breakfast. After a short recess, resume trekking for about 5 hours to reach Tadapani (2600 m). You will be spending yet another night in a local teahouse.
Day 6: Tadapani - Ghandruk (1950 m)
Trek for about 3 hours and arrive at Ghandruk (1950 m) mainly through forests, hence the easiest segment of the entire trip. After lunch, you can explore the village, inhabited mainly by the Gurung ethnic community. You can also visit the local museum as well as a monastery. Spend the night in a local teahouse.
Day 7: Ghandruk - Pokhara
Trek down to Nayapul (1050 m) in about 4 hours. It takes about 1 hour to drive to Pokhara. Explore the city in the afternoon, take a refreshing walk in the Lakeside area, and spend the night in your hotel room.
Day 8: Pokhara - Kathmandu
Drive back to Kathmandu or if you wish, board a flight (approx. 45 minutes) by paying about USD 110 extra. In the evening, we will take you out for a farewell dinner at one of the renowned restaurants in Kathmandu offering authentic Nepalese dishes and live cultural show. After dinner, we will drive you back to your hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 9: Departure
Wake up, have breakfast then airport transfer on your required time
