Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Bhaktapur is an ancient Newar city located in the east corner of the Kathmandu Valley, approximately 13 km (8 miles) from the Kathmandu City. There is also a rich concentration of culture and tradition among the Newars of Bhaktapur as Bhaktapur is a place where we can see the glory of Newari Community. Most probably this place is the only place whose two specific places are enlisted in the site of UNESCO world heritage site.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square is located in frontal part of ancient Bhaktapur royal palace. It consists of four distinct squares which includes Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square and Pottery Square sequentially. The major attractions of this square are 55 window palace, vatsala temple, statue of Bhupatindra malla, Nyatapola temple, Bhairavnath temple, Golden gate, lions gate, Mini Pashupati temple, inclusive of many other temples as well. Mostly the 16th to 18th century architecture and beautiful work decorated this wonderful Durbar Square in Bhaktapur. Entrance fee is apply to visit at this heritage site, for SAARC and Chinese national NPR 500 and for others USD 15 per person.
Changunarayan Temple
Changu Narayan Temple is located on a high hilltop which is also known as Changu or Dolagiri. Surrounded by different flora. This temple is probably the oldest temple of Nepal many myth and believes can be heard as its incarnation and significance of it.
This is the best of the best sample of stone craft that world can see and we really feel proud to offer such a mesmerizing place. It is about 12 KM east of Kathmandu city and a few miles north of Bhaktapur. The Manahara River flows beside the hill. This shrine is dedicated to lord Vishnu and held in special reverence by the Hindu people. There is entrance fee apply, for Indian it is NPR 240 and for others it is 340 per person.
At the territory of temple we can visit the museum, information center and the locality of the Newari community.
