Day 1: Drive to Matatirtha and Hike to Chitlang
Pass By: MataTirtha Temple, Chandragiri 44614, Nepal
Your hike to Chitlang starts after you have had your breakfast in your hotel. You will be picked up from the suggested location and driven to Matatirtha. It will take about 40 minutes to reach Matatirtha. Matatirtha can be translated as mother's shrine. It is located in Chandragiri Municipality. It has vague religious aspects and values. Matatirtha is usually visited on Mother's Day as showing respect to their mothers. The place was meant basically for, but nowadays, it is visited by many religions. There is also a sacred pond in the area where people who have lost their mother takes a dip on Mother's Day.
After Matatirtha, you will hike towards Chitlang. The way is first uphill then downhill. You will first reach Deurali ridge where you can enjoy the scenery of several peaks like Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Langtang, Gaurishanker, and Mt. Everest in bright days. There will be subtropical forest surrounding you with no less or no people around. There are only a few teashops scattered in the area, so prepare yourself with light snacks and water bottle if you needed it on the way. After 4-5 hours of peaceful journey amid nature, you will reach Chitlang. Chitlang lies in the south-west of Kathmandu and is 22km far. Its location is in mid hills of the Mahabharat range. Chitlang is an ancient Newar village with proof of being a civilized society of ancient times. It has many ancient temples; stone water taps and rest houses with several historical sites like Pauwa, Shiwalayas, Ashok Chaitya, and Saat Dhara. You will enjoy the beautiful day in the beautiful terrain and natural beauty. It is rich in flora and fauna with unique craftsmanship, artistic creation, and pagoda roofs laid in many corners. You will be staying in the homes of local people as a homestay in Chitlang for the night with a local lifestyle. You can interact with rural life trying their local fresh produce and way of living.

Day 2: Hike from Chitlang to Kunchhal
Stop At: Chitlang resort, Chitlang 44100, Nepal
This day you will explore Chitlang in the morning. You will visit historical sites like Saat Dhara and Ashok Chaitya and also local goat cheese factory situated in the area. Then after the exploring, you will hike towards Kunchhal. It will be 4 – 5 hours of hike to Kunchhal. Kunchhal village is located in Makawanpur District. Previously, it had a small narrow path throughout the region, so it was called Kunchhal. The human settlement started in the Nepali Sambat 833, as stated in the historical stone tap in the area. The significant highlights of Kunchhal are the old stone water taps, Ganesh temple, Newari lifestyle, festivals, music, foods, and drinks. As you enter the region, you will see houses made of red muds and woods. The area has the scope of agricultural and rural tourism. You will also be staying in homes of locals as homestay in Kunchhal too. In the night, enjoy a local cultural program conducted there.

Day 3: Explore Kunchhal village and Drive to Kulekhani and back to Kathmandu
Stop At: Kulekhani Reservoir, Kulekhani Dam Rd, Kulekhani 44100, Nepal
Today, rise early in the morning for your breakfast and then get ready to explore the town. You will find yourself fresh and active due to the energizing natural environment there. Then you will ride a vehicle to Kulekhani, which is 10 km far from Kunchhal. Kulekhani has the biggest artificial lake called Indra Sarovar. The lake is created due to Kulekhani Dam that is used to produce hydroelectricity. You can enjoy activities like boating and fishing. Due to its amazing landscapes, it is best for adventurous tourism. After spending some moment in the area, you will have lunch in Kunchhal and then drive back to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, you will be dropped at your hotel, which marks the end of your three days hike and drives.
