About this activity
Day 1: Kathmandu flight to Lukla (40 mins), trek to Phakding (4 hours - 2610 m)
You will start the program with a flight from TIA to Lukla Airport in Solukhumbu. The flight takes you over the Himalayas giving you a breathtaking panoramic view of the higher mountains, including the famous Mt. Everest
Day 2: Phakding to Namche Bazaar
(hiking duration: 6 hours - 3840 m)
The trail will start off relatively easy but will gradually become harder. You will be able to get your first glimpse of Everest as you are crossing the mighty Dudh Koshi
Day 3: Rest day at Namche Bazaar
Day 4: Namche Bazar to Tengboche (hiking duration: 5/6 hours - 3870 m)
Walking will start through the old but still used, Everest Expedition Trail. The trail is a winding smooth path which offers fantastic view of the Mount Everest
Day 5: Tengboche to Pheriche (hiking duration: 5/6 hours - 4240 m)
The trail drops down to Devuche, crosses the Imja Khola and climbs past many unique Mani stones in Pangboche
Day 6: Pheriche (Rest day)
Day 7: Pheriche to Lobuche (hiking duration: 4/5 hours - 4910 m)
Due to the climate at this altitude, the trail that leads to Lobuche is sparse. Along the way the trail will be covered by snow. From this high vintage point, you will be able to get unbelievable panoramic view
Day 8: Lobuche to Gorakshep (hiking duration: 3/4 hours - 5160 m)
Today you will start ahead for Gorakshep. On the trail you will see the Khumbu Glacier - Snow River, and Highlands.
Day 9: Visit to Mt. Everest Base Camp and return to Lobuche (hiking duration: 9/10 hours - 5364 m)
After breakfast, you will head onward to explore the Base Camp, where you will see the glacier, Mt. Everest and the starting point of Everest expeditions
Day 10: Lobuche to Tengboche, via Dingboche (hiking duration: 7/8 hours - 3870 m)
The trail is mostly lonely with only the flattering and flapping of prayer flag to remind you of the existence human activities there.
Day 11: Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (hiking duration: 4/5 hours - 3480m)
The trail follows down to the DudhKosi where there are presence of water-driven prayer wheels. The trek continues back of the Sagarmatha National Park
Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (hiking duration: 7/8 hours)
Final day of the trek
Day 13: Lukla to Kathmandu
