About this activity
On walk witness religious symbols and monuments as route leads into Dudh-Kosi River gorge, entering at Sagarmatha National Park listed as world Heritage Sites since 1979, an important park to conserve its rare flora and fauna from further destruction.
Slowly walks leaves the river gorge heading high hills and famed Namche Bazaar with its colorful Saturday market held every week, an interesting place to be for acclimatization and to soak into cultural life of Sherpa of Khumbu within the shade of mighty peaks.
After a wonderful time at Namche heading into green woodland with constant views of high snow capped peaks includes Everest, Amadablam and other smaller range of lesser mountains.
As adventure gains higher ground to reach scenic spot at Thyangboche surrounded by green trees and snow capped peaks, with time to visit its monastery of great interest, where every year a colorful festival called Mani-Rimdu is held in the month of October or November according to Buddhist calendar.
From Thyangboche leaving the tree-lines for arid mountainous landscapes to reach our highlight and goal of the adventure at Everest base camp with close views of great Khumbu Ice-fall and glaciers, with climb to high Kalapathar offers tremendous panorama of giant peaks with Mt. Everest at its closest distance.
After a great adventure around high Khumbu valley reaching our target at Everest base camp and scenic rocky hills on top Kalapathar, where walk leads back to Lukla for exciting flight to reach hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu, with time-less memories and high experience on Everest Base Camp Trek-12 Days.
OUTLINE ITINERARY:
Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Kathmandu to Lukla at Tenzing-Hillary Airport early morning 30 minutes scenic flight then and trek to Phakding 2,612 m / 8,570 f – -04 hrs.
Day 02: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m / 11,287 ft via Sagarmatha National park check post – 06 hrs.
Day 03: Acclimatization and Rest day in Namche Bazaar.
Day 04: Trek to Thyangboche Monastery 3,860 m /12,665 ft – 05 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Dingboche 4,410 m /14,468 ft – 05 hrs.
Day 06: Acclimatization (rest) day in Dingboche.
Day 07: Trek to Lobuche 4,940 m /16,208 ft – 05 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Gorak-Shep 5,164 m / 16,942 ft after lunch hike to Everest Base Camp 5,364 m /17,598 ft) back to Gorakshep.
Day 09: Early morning hike to Kala Patthar 5,545 m /18,192 ft and trek to Pheriche 4,137 m / 14,340 ft – 06 hrs.
Day 10: Trek to Namche Bazaar – 06 hrs.
Day 11: Trek to Lukla 2,860 m / 9,383 ft – 06 hrs.
Day 12: From Lukla fly to Kathmandu end of our service with transfer to your hotel.
