This is a very extensive tour of the highlights around Kathmandu. Birodh was a great guide with extensive knowledge of the sites visited, their history and significance to Nepalese culture. His easygoing style and excellent English made for an enjoyable and educational day. The tour has a significant spiritual element and Birodh’s in depth understanding of both Hindu and Buddhist customs was enlightening. Besides choosing a great lunch spot, he also got me in position to see the Kumari and explained how a little girl comes to be a revered living princess. Highly recommended tour and guide!
1.The car is broken unexpectedly in the halfway. The guide ask us to walk on the street. The street is so dusty and very dangerous because lots of traffic. We walked more than 30 minutes under the sun. Hey, what’s point of having a air conditioned car? 2. The guide is not knowledgeable about the history of the palaces we are about to visit. What written in the Lonely Planet is way lot more than he knows. 3. The guide must have a rocket in his pants. He walked so quick and when visiting every nice monument, he kept pushing us to be quick, otherwise we would miss the next monument. Overall, not worth the money I spent for 2 people. You can save $140 by buying a Lonely Planet and hiring a personal driver and car instead. The guide name is Birodh. Be careful.
Absolutely loved this tour. Picked up from my hotel, we walked to the next one to collect the others on the tour, nice way to see some of the streets and other hotels. The day was great from start to finish, great tour guide lovely places to visit and lots of time to see everything.
Great tour!
Highly recommend this tour. All the major sights in one day with an expert tour guide.
This was fab. I was picked up at the hotel and had a guide, Birodh Burlakoti, who was great. We saw the two major Hindu and two major Buddhist shrines. We had lunch above Buddha Stupa. Birodh knew the information and history about all the sites. I was dropped off back at my hotel by 3:30. It was perfect for me. All I had to was show and Viator did the rest. I highly recommend!!
SUPER FUN DAY! I definitely recommend this tour! With this tour we got to see all the great highlights, because our tour guide, Birodh, had a great day planned for us. He was courteous, kind, knowledgable, funny and all of the other great things you would want in a tour guide. Plus Birodh is a great photographer!
Amazing a must do trip great value
