Basically what was described was not accurate. I did not hear from the company regarding pick up time so the night before I contacted them. The rep eventually emailed and said to be ready and waiting in my hotel lobby by 9:45a. At about 10:00a a nice young man picked me up and we walked about 5 minutes and he took me to the office. Then he asked me to sit down and wait becuase the tour doesn't start until 11:30a. I asked why I didn't just get picked up closer to 11:30a and he said he just did what he was told. I walked back to my hotel and came back at 11:15. The tour began and it was in an overfilled run down van but that's to be expected. The guide spoke no English and the driver has basic knowledge and was able to give us enough directions to manage. Thankfully my ability to speak Bengali helped as Nepali and Hindi are very similar and that's all the guide spoke. After our first stop there was a huge issue regarding some passengers arriving 30 minutes late and a couple who decided to switch seats. It was not handled very well and there was a lot of yelling. It was definitely an experience I've never had before. Some of the positives was that the sites were quite far so having the tours was helpful to reach and experience the locations. I also made a new friend who was the only other English speaking person and we were able to take it lightly and look at it as an experience. We both travel often so it was not the worst experience but definitely NOT what was described on Viator.
