I basically paid 98 to be driven to the national park and brought to the monastery. The nuns closed the prayer room a few minutes after I got there, and my guide wasn't able to tell me anything about the monastery's history or the daily life of the nuns, and I didn't get to meet any of them, as the site had advertised. He basically just brought me to the top, asked if 20 minutes would be enough to walk around and take pictures, and disappeared into one of the buildings, and I didn't know where I was allowed to go, so I just sat there. He came back and I asked, Is that all? I thought I was supposed to 'meet some resident nuns' and 'learn about the daily life of the nuns' and he just stared blankly at me. The national park made us hire a nature guide at the gate, and thankfully he knew enough that I was able to learn something. The monastery was good to see, but the tour company was a huge disappointment. I wish I'd booked with a different company that hired a knowledgeable guide.
