Stop At: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal

Enjoy a private tour of Kathmandu valley's most important cultural sites.

Our knowledgeable cultural guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 09H00 ( time can be modified if preferred earlier or later for those who aren't morning people) . The car will take you to a lively and colourful market place in the streets of Asson. They sell anything from vegetables and fruits to cloth, traditional and 'modern' kitchenware, shoes and flowers. Walk with your guide till Kathmandu Durbar Square. It has been strongly affected by the earthquake but it is still worth the visit.

Visit the park adorned of numerous small temples.

Stop At: Pashupatinath Temple, Pashupati Nath Road, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal

Transfer to Pashupatinath, a Hindu temple. It is here that most of the valley's cremations take place by the river. You will meet the sadhus, men who have renounced their former lives in dedication of Lord Shiva, they usually wear orange clothes and have dreadlocks

Stop At: Boudhanath Stupa, Boudh Boudha, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal

Transfer to Boudha , a Budhist site. This is the biggest stupa of Nepal. You will visit with your guide the monasteries of the neighbourhood where monks and/or nuns learn the philosophies and ways of tibetan buddhism. Mostly Tibetan refugees and Nepalese buddhist live in this neighbourhood. From 3 pm onward budhist of all ages come to turn around the stupa to recite prayers ( to do a 'kora') Take your time to sit on a bench and observe the crowd passing by or have a drink on a terrace overlooking the stupa.

Your driver will drop you back at your hotel.
