The least visited of all the UNESCO World Heritage Sites is a gem waiting to be discovered by the outside world! This village is a truly incredible place. You will observe Newari craftsmen doing traditional carvings as they have done for hundreds of years. The temple is the oldest Hindu temple in the Valley, dating back nearly 900 years.

Stop At: Pashupatinath Temple, Pashupati Nath Road, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
This is not only the most sacred Hindu place in all of Nepal; it is a world pilgrimage site for Hindu around the world. There are nearly 500 temples that crowd both banks the holy Bagmati River. Here the faithful come to be cremated and have their ashes scattered on the sacred waters as it eventually joins the sacred Ganges River in India. Here you will see yogis as well.

This is the largest Buddhist stupa in Asia. Dating back centuries, this massive structure is incredible in both appearance as well as size. Tour the monastery as well as to spend time looking at various shops that reflect the culture of Tibetan Buddhism.

Stop At: Patan Royal Palace, Patan Durbar Square, Patan (Lalitpur) Nepal
Patan was once its own kingdom before the unification of Nepal in 1769. The Patan Durbar Square reflects the incredible architecture of the Malla Kings and the amazing Newari art. The Newari people were known for carving in stone as well as wood, and Patan’s Durbar Square reflects this breathtaking art. There is the old royal palace along with amazing temples, all in a very small space. Patan is definitely worth seeing!
