This fascinating Upper Mustang trek involves a scenic flight to and from picturesque Pokhara city and Jomsom, the headquarter town of Mustang region. The Upper Mustang trek brings you into the hidden world of the old Buddhist kingdom of Mustang Region.

Walk follows to incredible landscapes between high red cliffs dotted with small caves and passing through farm villages with Buddhist and Bon monuments and prayer, as walk leads to our destination at Lo Manthang villages’ encircled by high walls known as Dzong.

Exploring old and impressive monasteries and villages enrich with old Bon and Tibetan Buddhism culture, return journey back to Jomsom to conclude this overwhelming adventure Upper Mustang trek.

Upper Mustang Trek Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Drive / Fly to Pokhara – 06 hrs via overland and 30 mins by air.

Day 03: Morning flight to Jomsom 2,715 m, trek to Kagbeni 2,800 m

Day 04: Trek to Chele 3,050m

Day 05: Trek to Geling 3,540 m

Day 06: Trek to Charang (Tsherang) 3,560 m

Day 07: Trek to Lo-Manthang 3,700 m

Day 08: In Lo-Manthang for acclimatization and local hike.

Day 09: Trek to Dhakmar 3,810 m

Day 10: Trek to Ghiling 3,806 m

Day 11: Trek to Chusang / Tsusang 2,980 m

Day 12: Trek to Kagbeni 2,830 m

Day 13: Trek to Jomsom 2,715 m

Day 14: Fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel.
