Saint Nicholas Tour with Myra, Demre, Island of Kekova

Meet a driver at your hotel for 8am departure to Myra, where you'll find a ruined Lycian city with a beautiful necropolis and ancient theater. Learn the story of Saint Nicholas, once the bishop in Myra, and continue to his Demre church, still decorated with bright frescoes (entrance fees at church own expense). 

Find Saint Nicholas' sarcophagus and the monuments that surround the church, then pause for a buffet lunch in a local restaurant. 

After a 30-minute drive to the Ucagiz pier, board a boat for the Island of Kekova, split and sunk by a powerful earthquake. Visit the islands to see ruins of the ancient buildings, fortress, theater, and even sarcophagi that are now submerged in clear seawater, enjoying great views through the boat's glass viewing window. In fine weather, you'll have time for a swim before returning to port, where the driver will meet you for return transfer to the original departure point.
