About this activity
Piyali BNamaste. I am Piyali, a passionate traveller and singer. I have been a part of the tourism industry for several years now, and have recently moved to Kolkata to host tours. Being a seasoned traveller and an inquisitive local has helped me polish my tours with the finer details of the city. Join me on this tour and know what makes Kolkata the ‘city of joy’.
DetailsMullick Ghat is a popular destination and a favourite among the tourists and locals alike. Painted with colourful shades of yellow, orange, white, pink, green and more, this is India's largest flower market, thronged with vendors from multiple villages and towns nearby. Begin the activity with a visit to this vibrant flower market, get introduced to various indigenous flowers like marigolds and roses strung together into garlands or bouquets and understand their cultural symbolism. Post this, walk towards the Howrah bridge and break for tea at the Princep Ghat along the banks of Hooghly river. Continue with a boat ride and visit the Victoria Memorial followed by St. Paul's Cathedral and end the tour at Park Street.
Places of interest: Mullick Ghat, Princep Ghat, Victoria Memorial, St. Paul's Cathedral.
Tip: Wear comfortable walking shoes and stay hydrated.
Note:
• A Viator/TripAdvisor booking confirmation sent at the time of confirmation is not the official ticket.
• You will receive a separate redemption voucher/code.
