About this activity
This tour involves two of the richest cultural places on the Montenegrin coast - Perast and Kotor. Starting point is Kotor from where you are heading to small man-made island near Perast, Our Lady of the Rocks.
First you arrive in town of Perast, from where you’ll take a boat ride to most famous island in Montenegro – Our Lady of the Rocks.
According to legend, the islet was made over the centuries by local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and the Child on the rock in the sea on July 22, 1452. Upon returning from each successful voyage, they laid a rock in the Bay. Over time, the islet gradually emerged from the sea. Here you will get chance to visit Lady of Rock church and museum.
After quick visit to Our Lady of the Rocks church and museum you are heading again to Perast where you can have some free time to enjoy in charming atmosphere of the quietest town in all Boka.
Then you will proceed back to Kotor, where will you get opportunity to discover tremendously rich history of town through walking tour with our professional guide. Every single piece of this town is hiding story on its own written by Ottomans, Venetians and Christians.

Jelena, you were just a great and a keen guide with a wide knowledge and also you are a good driver :)
My husband and I were only in Montenegro as a cruise stop for one day, and this tour was the best way to make the most of our time there. Our local guide, Slovko, listened to exactly what our interests and hopes for the day were, and walking around with him was like touring with a friend. We saw so much in a short amount of time without ever feeling exhausted, and Slovko timed our movements so adeptly that we never ran into large crowds. When traffic blocked a street in Perast, thereby preventing our access road back to Montenegro, Slovko ushered us to a beachside restaurant and watched our items while we took a wonderful dip in the sea- perfection! From all of our cruise's planned stops, Montenegro was the destination we knew the least about, and it ended up being our favorite because of this fantastic tour. We are SO glad we did this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to soak up the beautiful Montenegro.
Slobodan arrived early and provided our group of 8 (ranging in age from 12 to 80) an EXCELLENT experience in Kotor. He was very well versed in the history of the old city of Kotor as well as Perast. As a long-time resident, he provided the local perspective in addition to the facts. Slobodan was also a well-known member of the community as many of the local vendors would greet him and he even leveraged his connections to allow us to use the bathroom at a restaurant where we would otherwise have had to pay! This was our best tour during our Med cruise, by far.
I booked this private tour instead of buying a group tour from the cruiseline. It cost much less and we had a superior experience. We had a wonderful guide named Nobojsca (Shawn), who was well-spoken and very informed. Becuase we were a small group, he was able to take us nimbly through all the sights, while the large tour groups were laboring to stay together. After a tour of the town, we had a private Mercedes minivan with a driver to take us to and from Perast. On the boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks, we even had the best seats on the bow. This experience was 100% First Class.
Fantastic guide and fantastic tour, professional, interesting, helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone b e. Well worth it
A really good overview of the fiord and local area. Lady of the Rocks boat tour very interesting. I recommend. Dick C
Our tour guide was amazing...one of the best tours we have had. She was knowledgeable, personable and did not try to bore us with useless details. She provided a nice history of the area and would highly recommend her. Just wish I could remember her name since it has been several months since the tour.
We had a fantastic guide , who was very entertaining and knowledgeable. The tour gave terrific coverage of the area. and history. The visit to the church on the island was a must to see.The short boat ride , the history inside the church and exhibits was great. Driving around,6 adults in van gave us the opportunity to view some beautiful scenery. The tour was finished off in local bar with our guide ,for one beer inc in price .Do not miss this one.
Excellent guide Oliy no rush actually took us 1hr longer to do the tour. Perast was great, the only thing wrong was too much history re Kotor itself
Due to fog, our ship arrive late, so tour was cut short. Guide was delightful, but time on island of Perast needed to be shortened to allow more time and info. On the city.
Guide was excellent, but we arrived late due to fog in Venice, and tour had to be cut short. They should have cut time on Perast Island to allow more time in the city and shopping there.
Our driver/guide was extremely knowledgeable. Our only problem was walking to the quay - we had to make arrangements for him to pick us up in Perast as we could not walk back up the hill to where he had parked. He accommodated us with this request, so all was fine.
